“I will miss you, my friend.”

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol has also send his condolences to Jarque’s teammates at Espanyol.

“It is a sad day for us and football,” said Puyol.

“We send our support to his family and colleagues. I have spoken to some, like Ivan (De la Pena), and they are very upset,” he added.

“We will support his family and colleagues. It has been a very tough shock.”

Jarque played for Spain Under 17, Under 19, Under 20 and Under 21 teams. Though he represented Spain on junior levels, he never made it to the national side but due his brilliant performances in the last two seasons he was a powerful contender to play in the national colors.

We all condole from the bottom of our hearts to Espanyol and to Jarque’s family.
