Chelsea Star Eden Hazard Leaves Club to Play for Childhood Dream Team Real Madrid for €100 million

Chelsea star Eden Hazard is set to leave the English Premier League club to pursue his career at his childhood dream club Real Madrid for a fee of €100 million which may rise to €146.1 million from add-ons. The Belgian international’s transfer is subject to clearance of medical tests. The 28-year-old has played his last game against Arsenal in the final of Europa League in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he scored twice to win the competition 4-1.

Hazard joined the English giants in 2012 from French Ligue 1 side Lille. After spending seven successful seasons at Stamford Bridge and winning several trophies and titles, he will be leaving to play for his childhood club Real Madrid. During his time in English Premier League, he won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two Europa League titles. Hazard still had one-year contract left at Chelsea and the club wanted him to stay but in the end player made his decision and it was respected. His new contract with Real Madrid will keep him at Santiago Bernabéu for five years till June 30, 2024.
